By downloading, installing, or using the House Inspector mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
House Inspector provides computer vision-based analysis of residential property images to identify potential visual defects (such as cracks, mold, and corrosion) and provides estimated repair costs based on local market data.
3. Critical Disclaimers (Read Carefully)
3.1 Not a Substitute for Professional Inspection
The App is a preliminary screening tool only. It is not a substitute for a physical inspection by a licensed, certified home inspector or structural engineer. The App cannot see behind walls, under floorboards, or detect invisible hazards (such as radon, internal pipe leaks, or internal wiring faults).
3.2 AI Limitations
The Service uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning. While we strive for accuracy, AI is probabilistic and can make errors. False positives (identifying a defect that isn't there) and false negatives (missing a defect that is there) are possible. You should verify all findings with a professional.
3.3 Cost Estimates are Indicative Only
Any financial estimates provided (e.g., "Estimated Liability," "Repair Cost") are based on regional averages and database approximations. They are not contractor quotes and should not be relied upon for final budgeting or financing. Actual repair costs may vary significantly based on labor availability, material costs, and hidden damage.
4. Accounts and Subscriptions
4.1 Free Tier: Users on the Starter/Free plan are limited to a specific allowance of scans per day. We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time.
4.2 Paid Subscriptions: Subscriptions (Homeowner, Agent Pro) are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID/Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s Account Settings.
5. User Content and Data
5.1 Ownership: You retain ownership of the photos you upload to the App.
5.2 License to Use: By uploading photos, you grant House Inspector a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and process these images solely for the purpose of providing the analysis service and improving our AI models.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- Use the App for any illegal purpose.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or AI models.
- Use the App to inspect properties where you do not have permission to take photos.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, House Inspector and its creators shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of data or profits).
- Any decisions made based on the App’s analysis (e.g., buying or not buying a house).
- The cost of procurement of substitute goods or services.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the past 12 months.
8. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice.
9. Governing Law
